Duvanta is prescribed for the treatment of depression and generalized anxiety disorder. It is also employed to alleviate pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPNP). Additionally, Duvanta is used to address major depressive disorder and to manage chronic musculoskeletal pain, particularly in individuals suffering from chronic osteoarthritis pain and persistent lower back pain.

Following your doctor's instructions, take Duvanta as prescribed. Refer to the medication's label for precise dosage guidelines. The usual starting dose for adults ranges from 40 mg to 60 mg per day, though some patients may find starting at 30 mg once daily beneficial. It is advisable to gradually reduce the dosage of Duvanta to prevent symptoms associated with discontinuation. Duvanta should be taken orally, with or without food, and must be swallowed whole; do not break, crush, or chew it before ingestion. To maximize its effectiveness, take Duvanta consistently at the same time each day, which will help you remember your doses. Even if you feel better, continue taking Duvanta without skipping any doses.
